SGO is built on a piece of solid glass or acrylic. The colors and textures are proprietary hand-crafted films that are permanently bonded to the glass or acrylic. Real lead strips are then bonded to both sides, giving the look of cut glass, but maintaining the strength of the solid sheet. The finished product is airtight, watertight, and strong.
SGO’s unique construction allows it to be applied as a panel over an existing window. This adds beauty and privacy to your windows without compromising their thermal integrity. SGO can also be applied directly to existing glass for installations such as shower doors. Support rods are never needed and the product will never sag as cut glass can.
Application of SGO materials actually strengthens ordinary window glass enough to meet ANSI safety glass standards. SGO can also be applied to tempered or wired glass where greater strength and safety is required.
