Light, glass, color, texture, and design are the palette of decorative laminated glass. From a subtle accent that supports an overall theme to a bold statement that becomes the visual focal point, these products give architects, designers, and building owners new ways to define space. In addition to its decorative powers, there are functional components to this laminated glass. These include enhanced safety, security, and solar and sound performance.
Laminating interlayers are permanently bonded between two pieces of glass to form a durable, easy to maintain glass system. A wide range of interlayers are available to be used alone or in combination to create dramatic effects:
- Color - Ten colors and three whites can be combined to create over 2000 transparent or translucent color options.
- Patterns - Several classic graphic patterns can be used alone or with color.
- Fabrics - Five available textures create a warm environment to compliment any interior design. Ask us about custom laminating other fabrics and materials.
- Woven wood - Five species of wood can be used in the interlayer.
- Fibertone - Ten fibertone colors offer a translucent textured appearance with more depth than other patterns.
- Looms - This tightly woven fiberglass material is commonly used in drop screens.
- Rice papers - Nineteen different colors and textures create a shoji screen effect permanently laminated in glass.
- Marbelized patterns - Eight pattens replicate translucent marble and granite.
- Metallic films - Several metallic patterns have an exceptional perception of depth and create extrordinary movement.
- Aluminum - Real aluminum is machine engraved to produce stock or fully custom patterns.
- Images - Graphic and photographic images can be laminated in glass. Any image can be produced in virtually any size with a specified degree of transparency.
